Herontdekt !!!

Ik zoek zo bij tijd en wijle naar nummers die voor mij vertalen in welke stemming ik zit of in welke fase van mijn leven.
Of die precies beschrijven wat ik niet onder woorden kan brengen.

Dat lukt niet altijd, maar 9 van de 10 x lukt het me wel.

Nu was ik op het moment niet direct op zoek naar dit nummer, waar deze blog over gaat, maar op zoek naar de nieuwe CD van Nils Lofgren (Nils sings Neal, met covers van Neal Young nummers), kwam ik Little Steven tegen.

Waarom ik hem niet ben gaan herontdekken na dat fantastische Bruce Springsteen concert van deze zomer, da's me een raadsel, maar goed, nu was hij daar ineens weer.

Little Steven & The Disciples Of Soul, .......dat moet al zoziezo meedingen naar de titel "Meest Gave & Coole Bandnaam Ever".

2 singles bezit ik nog steeds van deze man. Bitter Fruit en Forever.
Ze liggen ergens boven op zolder.
En zijn project Artists Against Apartheid leverde een LP op die ik ook nog heb.


De man heeft een paar prachtige nummers geschreven, maar is hier toch vooral bekend gebleven als "de gitarist van Bruce Springsteen".

Het nummer waar ik van vond dat het naadloos op mij, zoals ik nu denk en voel, aansloot was Forever, en de tekst heb ik hieronder bijgevoegd.
