Gather The Children......

Ik ga nog even door met de grote schoonmaak in de halve teksten.

In de afgelopen maanden, vol met persoonlijke teksten over tegenslag, liefde, medeleven etc. etc. was het ook belangrijk om eens iets te schrijven wat wel vanuit mij kwam (is niet alles wat de kunstenaar doet in meer of mindere mate autobiografisch ??) maar niet direct op mijn persoonlijke leven zou slaan.

Ah lekkere lange zin Harrie, je bent weer op dreef ;o)

Het is op zich frapant dat een tekst die meer buiten mezelf ligt gelijk in het Engels is, en alle persoonlijke dingen steeds weer in mijn moedertaal gebeuren.

Hoe dan ook, ik kreeg op een gegeven moment een gadachte in mijn kop die zich ontwikkelde tot een jaren 60 nummer.


Iets wat op Woodstock door The Mama's & The Papa's gedaan had kunnen worden.
Of door Joe Cocker op zijn Mad Dogs & Englishmen Tour.
Of misschien zelfs wel op een plaat van een retro-rocker als Lenny Kravitz.
